District 1 Candidate Ryan Balius Marking Independence Day Distributing 6,000 American Flags July 3-4

Ryan Balius, who is running for Anaheim City Council from District 1, will celebrate 244th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence by providing American flags to more than 6,000 residences in the district.

“The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays because it brings family and friends together to celebrate our country, reflect on the freedoms we are so fortunate to enjoy and to appreciate the ever evolving growth that our democratic process ensures,” said Balius.

“It is a pleasure for me to provide these flags to the people that make West Anaheim such a special place,” said Balius. “Our flag, and what it represents, is important to me and I am looking forward to celebrating the 4th of July here in our community.”

Distribution of the flags will begin on July 3.  For more information email vote4ryan@balius.net or visit the campaign’s website at www.ryanbalius.com.

Balius, a 20-year resident of West Anaheim, is the District 1 representative on the Anaheim Parks & Recreation Commission and is active in the West Anaheim Neighborhood Development Committee and West Anaheim betterment efforts.

  1. More importantly, where does he stand on district 1 issues? West Anaheim has a ton of problems. We need strength and leadership, not a follower, not someone who is told how to vote, we need someone who will actually make changes by listening to the community.

Flags are nice, but tell us where you stand.
How you will do it, your plan, and why we should vote for you.

  2. So that’s who left garbage on my lawn.

  3. I have lived in West Anaheim for 64 years. La Palma Avenue and Brookhurst. I have never seen my neighborhood look so bad. Trash at the park, lots of homeless people. I’ve seen them urinating on lawns. Sleeping on bus benches and pushing 3 shopping carts at a time down the street. They are at all the intersections begging for money and also at the freeways on and off ramps. I never see them in Anaheim Hills . Many of them are on drugs.
I’ve even seen people living in the alley.
People park in the alleys and people can’t park in their own garages.
Also graffiti is in the alley walls all the time. City cleans it up and they do it again.
I feel kinda embarrassed living here. West Anaheim used to be a nice clean area to live.
I love this city but am considering a move if it doesn’t get better. I have 2 houses in this area . Please make this area a better place to live!
